There is an old saying about how the lack of one small thing can lead to great loss. But sometimes, what is missing reveals who we are. In the wake of disruption, we might be tempted toward fear or collapse. Instead, we are invited to circle the fire. To strengthen the scaffolding. To remember that community is not built on certainty during the easy times, but on courage and commitment when things get hard.
This Sunday, we’ll reflect on how we respond when something essential feels absent -and how we can choose connection over isolation, even in uncertain times. James Chase is in our Fellowship’s pulpit, and Anna Deyle serves as worship associate. Our Chalice Choir sings under the direction of Tane’ DeKrey.
Join us after service for a potluck luncheon – as well as healing ritual and joyful community play. Please consider bringing a dish or snack to share. You can drop it off in the Phillips Social Hall before service.
