Family Promise

Family Promise of Gainesville collaborates with a community-wide network of local congregations. UUFG provides support to homeless families for a week at a time four times a year, so that those families can be helped to get jobs, transportation, and a place to live. providing housing, meals and transportation to families. Family Promise staff offers counseling and help with financial aid, child care, and finding employment.

Food4Kids Backpack Program

Our Westwood middle school backpack program provides weekend food for children during the school year. During the summer the program offers monthly boxes of food for the children currently in the backpack program.
