Come join us on Saturday, November 7 · 5:30 PM · UUFG Fire Circlefor an intimate gathering at sunset on astronomical Samhain, the true midpoint between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, and the night the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest.

We’ll light the fire and gather around an altar set to honor our beloved dead. Sheila will lead a guided meditation, and then there will be candles at the altar for anyone who’d like to light one for someone they want to remember. From there we’ll open the floor for a fireside discussion of our Samhain traditions and practices, with space to share memories of the people sitting heavy on our hearts.

No experience or particular belief is needed. Every part is optional, listening counts as taking part, and you don’t have to be anything in particular to belong here.

Bring: a chair, something warm to bundle up in, snacks or drinks to share, and an open mind.

Good to know:
There will be no childcare at this event, so please plan accordingly.
The grounds approaching the fire circle are soft, dark, and uneven. A flashlight helps. If you’d like a hand getting out to the circle, message us ahead of time or find one of us when you arrive — we’re glad to walk with you.
