Nurture Your Spirit Through Service

Service to the congregation is an integral part of membership. It helps you get acquainted with people you don’t know, provides social interaction, makes you more connected, provides affirmation, increases self-esteem, and nurtures your spirit—and it is vital for our congregation to thrive. This month we have the following opportunities to serve UUFG:

Ushers and Greeters
Description: UUFG is in need of volunteers to be ushers and greeters on Sundays. Volunteers serve about 1 Sunday every other month, arriving at about 10 AM and working through the end of the Service. If you would like to volunteer for this essential but relatively undemanding activity, or would just like to find out more about it before deciding, please call Diane Francis at 367-3603. Being an usher or greeter is a good way for new members to meet others, and be introduced to UUFG activities.

Qualifications: Willingness to participate, interest in people.
Time Commitment: 2-1/2 hours on a Sunday, once every other month.
