The entire congregation is at a weekend retreat at Camp Montgomery. Singers of all ages are invited to rehearse with the Retreat Choir that morning and then sing for the service. More details will follow.

Music for Children and Youth: Shalom Chorus/Beacon Singers |

UUFG has a vibrant and exciting music program. Children and youths who sing or play an instrument are invited to participate in our music program as a soloist or in one of our choirs.
At UUFG, joining a choir means: 
- Having the pleasure of being part of a supportive, ongoing group
- Singing at Sunday Services once or twice a month
- Meeting other people who share a love for music
- Developing confidence and poise when performing
- Experiencing music from different cultures and time periods
- Learning the life-long skills of singing and reading music
- Feeling the appreciation of the congregation for the joy you bring
The Shalom Chorus is for all children and youth treble singers in grades K-12. All ages begin the rehearsal together. The younger singers are dismissed after about 30-40 minutes. Then the middle and high schoolers who constitute the Beacon Singers stay to rehearse more advanced repertoire. Our children and youth choirs sing at Sunday services once or twice a month. |

Choir Rehearsals
Thursdays
- Shalom Chorus/Beacon Singers: 6:30 PM to 7/7:10 PM
- Beacon Singers: continue to 7:40/7:45 PM
- Adult Chalice Choir: 7:45 PM to 9:30 PM
The choirs are off part of June-July (no rehearsals or singing) and from mid-July to mid-August they rehearse Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM before returning to their normal Thursday night schedules in late August.
