There are many ways to find the News at UUFG. This section is devoted to keeping the news available in an easy manner.

The Current News page has a blog format for showing news as it happens in chronological order. The President's Message is the same - the monthly articles found in the Sunday Gazette. The Music and RE menus will provide their monthly articles and any other updates that you should be aware of.

If you have news that you wish to have published for the UUFG community, please send it to news(at)uufg.org. This is the main portal for publishing news. The UUFG website, eNews, Sunday Gazette, and some News and Needs messages will be picked up and published from this address.

Questions? Please send a message to the webmaster.

How Can We Live Our Covenant? -- August 2013

How Can We Live Our Covenant? -- August 2013

On August 4, the Right Relations Team led a worship service on Congregational Healing and asked attendees to gather in small groups to discuss questions based on our covenant and share their answers. What is a covenant, and what is our covenant? A covenant is a promise; an agreed-to way for us to be in relationship with one another when we are in community together.

Publish Your News

Need to let the congregation know about what events your team is putting on? Want to update everyone on what is happening in your program? Need something added to the Church Calendar? Want to see it go out in the Monday eNEWS? Need to have it in the website?

You may send any updates, news, scheduling, and articles to this address: news(at)uufg.org

For articles, send the title of the article, who should be attributed as the author (if you wish it posted), when you'd like it published by (immediately or a future date), and any other news of import.

For a church calendar posting, please include the name of the event, time, date, place, anything that needs to be brought by the participants, and a contact person, email or phone. For the public part of the website, we do not encourage last names be used but first names with a last name initial. The first name list found in the front of the Membership Directory should answer any questions about who they are. We are aware of internet fraud and misuse and try to protect our community.

For Events>Upcoming Events (menu item), it will be pulled out from the calendar info and vice versa. For policies, click "Read more..." to continue.

The President's Perspective -- May 2013

The Governing Board, both current and newly elected members, will be meeting with Reverend Maucere the end of May.

We are anxious to meet him and start making plans for the next year together.

I would like to encourage members to contact me or another Governing Board member if you have ideas or specific concerns. The earlier we start a dialog with him, the more time we have to work on a project together.

In Fellowship,
Deborah McEdward

In my state of the congregation message at the congregational meeting I listed many of the activities and events here at UUFG this past year.   It has been a busy year, and not an easy year, with many changes and challenges.

Review Time! -- March 2013

The buds are out,

The sky is blue

It’s time again for

A yearly review.

Yes, members of the Governing Board and Program Council are working on the yearly review of bylaws, policies, and procedures. We are looking for input and will keep the membership informed of any proposed changes. If you have suggestions please contact me to become involved with the process. There will be a cottage meeting as well, prior to the annual meeting. Stay tuned!

Deborah
