L703 Making Liquers by Infusion

Twelve lucky participants will learn about making liqueurs by infusion on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm.  An overview of the infusion process and the history of cocktails will be given by Thomas Mareci, Ph.D. – a distinguished scientist and mixologist.  The infusion process will be demonstrated by Deborah McEdward. B.S. – an accomplished scientist, as well as an expert mixologist.  Participants will be able to sample 8 types of infusions and recipes will be provided for a variety of infusions and several cocktails.  Each participant will make 2 pints of infusions to bring home. The evening will end with a sampling of a variety of mixed drinks, made from infusions, accompanied by finger foods (participants will also be encouraged to bring finger foods to share). Due to the cost of ingredients, (and the participants each receiving 2 pints of liqueurs), there is a minimum opening bid.
