Youth Info

Our Youth Group meets after services in the youth room. We use the Beacon model of youth empowerment. Youth create their covenants, structure their meetings, elect officers, and determine their projects – all with guidance from trained youth advisors.

Youth advisors act as mentors to youth, modeling our principles in action, and encouraging healthy behaviors and interactions.

If you have a child who wishes to participate in youth group please make  sure you register them for their RE class AND register them for youth group (two forms).   Youth are required to participate in congregational life in order to attend youth group by attending services, RE class, or if they are seniors in high-school participating in the youth assistant program (talk with Starr if interested). If your youth does not attend church and participate in one of these ways they may not attend youth group that afternoon. If you have any questions you can ask Starr Austin, our DRE or Youth Advisor, Mary B.

Religious Education Registration

All children and adolescents involved in any Religious Education program at UUFG, including Youth Group, must have a current, updated, registration form filled out and on file.

A new registration form needs to be filled out annually or whenever a child’s living situation changes. Any time new people wish to attend UUFG Religious Education classes, they can register.

Parents, children and youth do NOT need to be members of UUFG to register for and participate in UUFG Religious Education and Youth Group programs.
